‭Luke 5:5 GNT‬
And Simon answering said unto him, Master, we have toiled all the night, and have taken nothing: nevertheless at thy word I will let down the net.

Simon had a very peculiar situation in Luke 5. Simon was a fisherman, a very very skilled fisherman.

I am sure he understood how to fish, when to fish and how to get fish in abundance. A day came when he set out for the river as he did routinely but this time, he toiled and wondered all night yet caught nothing. Simon used everything he knew to use yet caught nothing.

Simon deployed all the tactics and strategy he knew and have practiced yet caught nothing. After Jesus has finished using his boat to teach he instructed Simon to cast his net on the water to catch fish.

It is not faith when you understand it, it is not faith when there is proof it can work, it is not faith when it looks possible. It is faith when you obey God’s voice even when it sounds ridiculous. It is faith when your only reason behind taking those steps is that God spoke to you.

You must have tried things in business, academics and career with no result to show, when God speaks please obey.

The blessing is not in the action, the blessing is in following the voice of God. You can succeed today doing things you failed at doing yesterday only because God spoke to you today!

It may not make sense now but at God’s word, do it!
