“Let us come before His presence with thanksgiving; Let us shout joyfully to Him with psalms.” – Psalms 95:2 (NKJV)
In Scripture, thanksgiving is more than just a tradition or a part of church service—it is a command from God. It isn’t reserved for times when we feel like it or only when good things happen.
“Offer to God thanksgiving, And pay your vows to the Most High.” – Psalms 50:14 (NKJV)
Is your thanksgiving an offering when you approach God? In the New Testament, thanksgiving takes the place of the sacrifices offered in the Old Testament. When we come before God, we should recognize that our thanksgiving is our sacrifice, and we should never come before Him empty-handed.
“Call upon Me in the day of trouble; I will deliver you, and you shall glorify Me.” – Psalms 50:15 (NKJV)
Thanksgiving is not only a sacrifice but also comes with a promise. When you offer thanks and call on God, He will deliver you, and you will glorify Him in return.
Pray: Father, I thank You for what is yet unseen, for the things that are not yet sufficient, and for the marvelous works You have done for me, in Jesus’ name.
