“I thank you, God, for making me so mysteriously complex! Everything you do is marvelously breathtaking. It simply amazes me to think about it! How thoroughly you know me, Lord! You even formed every bone in my body when you created me in the secret place; carefully, skillfully you shaped me from nothing to something.” Psalms 139:14-15 TPT
Let me leave this piece with us this morning: “THE WORLD WOULD ONLY CELEBRATE WHAT YOU CELEBRATE.” Many of you today have not been appreciated or celebrated because even you do not appreciate yourself. A man is first a product of what he thinks he is, not what people think he is.
Some of us, after this devotion, really need to go back to God and say, “Lord, thank you for the gift of me; I know truly that you have done me well.”
Since the beginning of this year, even with how much effort you put into what you do, when people compliment you, you still say, “I do not think I am good enough.” Please, all of this must stop in 2025, with the reason being that nobody wants to work with someone who first sees himself as not good enough.
If the rate at which some of us have condemned ourselves through the year is the rate at which we have celebrated ourselves and appreciated God for the gift of ourselves, I am sure we would have been highly recommended for a bigger task. But you see people, even when they get complimented or want to be celebrated, they say, “I do not think I am worth it.”
Some of you have never bought quality clothes for yourselves this year, never gotten yourself a quality shoe, or even a quality meal, despite how much you work. Ah, sir, you would soon die o. Appreciate yourself, sir.
Go back with me to today’s scripture. A part says, “I thank you, God, for making me so mysteriously complex! Everything you do is marvelously breathtaking. It simply amazes me to think about it!” See, this is quality understanding. But some of you, since God created you, have never expressed gratitude for your creation, making it seem like God made a mistake in creating you.
I believe now that I am speaking to the reality of many people today: you do not celebrate yourself. The year ends in a few days; do something big and interesting for yourself.
Who would join me this morning to say, “DEAR GOD, I THANK YOU FOR THE GIFT OF ME; I AM WONDERFULLY AND MARVELOUSLY MADE.”
