“But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to each one for the profit of all.” — 1 Corinthians 12:7 NKJV

Good morning, Child of God.

One of the gifts of the Holy Spirit is the discerning of spirits. The Bible encourages us to desire spiritual gifts, but it is the Holy Spirit who distributes these gifts according to His will.

Discerning of spirits is not an emotional or rational way of judging people. It is not criticism, suspicion, manipulation, or the gift of finding faults in others.

Discernment is the supernatural ability to distinguish the true spiritual source behind a manifestation, message, music, situation, or even a person.

There are different spiritual sources that can influence a situation, including:

* The Holy Spirit

* Angelic spirits

* The human spirit

* Demonic spirits

This is why the Bible tells us:

“Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God.” — 1 John 4:1 NKJV

Child of God, your discernment must always be at work because there are demons parading as Angels. If you don’t recognise which spirit is speaking through a man, you will fall prey for every well articulated sweet words and become victim even as a believer.

The gift of discerning of spirits is a must have for all believers. You can’t afford in this end time not to be able to distinguish between the voice of God, voice of men and voice of the Devil.

Prayer

Father, I earnestly desire the gift of discerning of spirits, I ask and receive it by your Holy Spirit in Jesus’ name. Amen
