Do Not Neglect the Prophetic

Verse 1: “Then Elisha said, Hear ye the word of the LORD; Thus saith the LORD, Tomorrow about this time shall a measure of fine flour be sold for a shekel, and two measures of barley for a shekel, in the gate of Samaria.”

Verse 2: “Then a lord on whose hand the king leaned answered the man of God, and said, Behold, if the LORD would make windows in heaven, might this thing be? And he said, Behold, thou shalt see it with thine eyes, but shalt not eat thereof.”

— 2 Kings 7:1-2 (KJV)

The prophetic is a mysteriously powerful tool that can bring rest, direction, and knowledge to a person in an instant, setting everything in life right. Age-old confusion can come to an end in a moment by the power of the prophetic.

When God prophesies, it does not always make sense. In fact, it often contradicts your present situation and looks impossible—but that is God.

In today’s Bible reading, Elisha declared: “Hear ye the word of the LORD; Thus saith the LORD, Tomorrow about this time shall a measure of fine flour be sold for a shekel, and two measures of barley for a shekel, in the gate of Samaria.” Given the situation in that city at the time, this prophecy seemed physically impossible. But that’s the nature of prophecy—it speaks beyond the present circumstances. I am certain that some of us find ourselves in a similar situation today.

I come with an instruction from God this morning: DO NOT NEGLECT THE PROPHETIC.

I am praying for someone this morning, and I prophesy by the mercies of GOD that before the end of today, may the Lord turn your situation around in Jesus’ mighty name!

I know God is speaking to someone right now. Very soon, a word will come forth for you. I urge you—do not neglect it or make a mockery of it.

God is set to do mighty things for you. JUST BELIEVE.

Good morning!
