DO NOT PRETEND IN PRAYER

Luke 18:38 KJV
And he cried, saying, Jesus, thou Son of David, have mercy on me.

We started off with the series on prayer on Tuesday and it is beautiful that God has released grace for us to continue as we discuss prayer.

A lot of people especially in this generation pretend in the place of prayer. When you are praying, please remember that you are not praying to your juniors or elders, you are not praying to your spouse or children, you are not praying to your boss or siblings, you are not praying to your boyfriend or girlfriend, you are praying to the Almighty God.

Stop trying to package yourself in prayer. Some of you are going in to pray with very extravagant English. Oh Lord, I want to touch the realms of the angels and access the dimensions of the patriarchs of the faith movement so I can receive grace to run my life. You are praying like this at a time where all you need is God abeg, with heavy weeping!

You know your grades are already looking like an extra year, you know you will soon be kicked out by your landlord, you do not need realms, you do not need dimensions, you should be crying, Oluwa Sanu mi ( Lord have mercy on me )

The blind man in our text saw Jesus and wept, Lord just have mercy. No need for forming, no need for packaging, just have mercy. He got his healing immediately.

A story was told of a man, before he got married he will tell married people, whenever your wife is in labour trying to give birth, cast all the demons in hell, loose all the angels in heaven, she will be delivered of her child.

Finally, his wife came, she got pregnant and as God will have it, she was in the delivery room. He bound all the demons, loosed all the angels, for three days no baby came. When he realised himself he went to kneel before God and cried, father, just have mercy. Immediately, baby came.

Some of you, all you need is God, please have mercy.

You must be sincere in the place of prayer. You are struggling with lies, tell God you are struggling with lies, do not go to pray and tell God, Oh Patriarch of heaven and earth, assist me with my struggles. Don’t you know your struggles? Tell God you are a liar and God should cleanse your tongue

You don’t go to confess your sins in tongues. Call that sin by the name and take it to God!

God is not just the almighty, understand that he is your father.

If Yoruba, igbo, pidgin is easier for you to pray with, pray with them.

Call your struggles by name and war against it in prayer !

Till we arrive at the point of the full manifestation of what God has said concerning us, we will continue to share some of these things as we journey.

The Shift Has Come
