Faith By Action

“My dear brothers and sisters, what good is it if someone claims to have faith but demonstrates no good works to prove it? How could this kind of faith save anyone?”
‭‭James (Jacob)‬ ‭2‬:‭14‬ ‭TPT‬‬

Firstly, understand that God is more willing to help you than you are willing to receive the help.

The crowd with Jesus (John 6:1-14) have not gotten to the mountain yet, but Jesus saw them and asked Phillip where they will get enough food to feed them?
This tells us that our God plans ahead, nothing catches him unaware.

It was not after man sinned that God started looking for ways to redeem him, He already had plans in place in case man falls. This also tells us that the solution to our problems is older than our problems itself.

Our faith is elastic in nature, that’s why Jesus asked Phillip so as to stretch his faith. Sometimes, God allow us to enter into situations that are above our capabilities just to stretch our faith.

There was once a couple who were married for more than 16years with no child. The church prayed, fasted, lay hands, anointed the couple and all, but all to no avail. But when it was almost 17years they finally had a child and a Pastor asked the husband how he felt after waiting on to God for almost 17years and he said, if there is anything that he believed God did through the whole years was to revive the prayer altar of the church. Not all situations are demonic, sometimes it is just God trying to work us and take us to the next level.

When Jesus asked Phillip how they were going to feed the crowd, he started doing analysis on how much money it would take them to do that. We sometimes do that as well, when God speaks to us through any means either through His prophets or visions or by the Holy Spirit, all we do first is analyse how it is going to be possible. Analysis has killed the faith of many believers.

Little actions of faith is enough for God to work in our lives. God would instruct that we do things that logically does not make sense, it is not in our place to start questioning or making enquiry.

Lots of time it is not as though we do not have the faith at all, but we lack the action that backs up the faith. Jesus instructed the disciples to make the people sit down, teaching them to be expectant. It is an error for you to come to the house of God without expectations. It is also an error and waste of time to pray without being ready or expecting an answer.

Jesus took the bread, gave thanks but still gave it back to His disciples to share to the people. This also was another way to stretch their faith as they share the five loaves of bread and two fishes.

Afterwards, he also instructed them to gather the left overs which amounted to 12 baskets, this was also a way of teaching them to maintain the miracle that has been done.

After God has answered your prayers, it takes the same faith and effort you used while asking to maintain the prayer answered, that is, after you have received what you prayer for, you still need faith to maintain it.

PRAYER

Say; Father, strengthen my faith by fire in Jesus name. Every good prophesy hanging over my destiny, manifest by fire in Jesus name.
