“And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat.” Genesis 3:6 KJV

When people hear about family unity, all they think about is, whatever my husband do, I must support or whatever my wife do, I must support.

The Bible does not teaches us to join our spouse in doing evil.

When your spouse is doing evil, it is not a sign of love when you join in the evil. It is giving consent for your family to get destroyed.

God did not curse man until Adam joined Eve in sin.

This was the same issue with Ananias and Saphira. They cooperated in sin and eventually they lost their lives.

When your spouse is in evil, please speak to them, pray for them, interceed. Do everything possible but do not join them.

“Children, obey your parents in the Lord: for this is right.” Ephesians 6:1 KJV

The Bible makes it clear, we must obey and submit in the Lord. The moment that instruction is against scripture and against God, draw the line and ask God for his intervention.

A family must be united in good doing, when a family is united in doing evil, God looks away from that family.
