“Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might.” – Ephesians 6:10 (NKJV)
This verse is a reminder from God for today: He calls us to draw our strength from Him, the ultimate source of all power and might.
In these challenging times, even the strongest individuals can falter, the mightiest can stumble, and those who seem tough can become weary. This often happens because they rely on their own intellect, abilities, and strength to navigate life’s difficulties.
Our challenges vary—some struggle with health, others with marriage, finances, family, academics, ministry, career, or business. Many reach a breaking point and feel like giving up.
If you’re feeling overwhelmed and wondering when things will change, I urge you to be strong in the Lord and in His mighty power. Remember, countless others face similar trials, but how you handle them is what sets you apart.
Some seek quick fixes through harmful means, believing it to be the fastest solution. Others fall into despair, ending their struggles tragically.
But there’s hope in God’s word: “But those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run and not be weary, They shall walk and not faint.” – Isaiah 40:31 (NKJV)
Much happens in the waiting period. When Jesus was tempted by the Devil to take shortcuts during His time of waiting, He stood firm because His strength was in God.
When life’s storms shake you, be strong in the Lord. When your expectations aren’t met, be strong in the Lord. When you reach the end of the road and see no way forward, be strong in the Lord and in His mighty power.
Prayer: Father, I draw my strength from You, trusting that You will never fail, no matter the circumstances. Be my strength now and forever, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
