Matthew 28:19–20 (KJV)

[19] Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:

[20] Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.

Last week, we learnt that evangelism is not a request but an instruction, and as believers, it is our duty to go out and tell people about Jesus.

In getting people saved, it is important to be very careful about the message we preach. Jesus saves us from sin, not to sin. We live in a generation where people now teach something different. In John 8:10–11 (KJV), Jesus said to the woman caught in adultery:

“When Jesus had lifted up himself, and saw none but the woman, he said unto her, Woman, where are those thine accusers? hath no man condemned thee? She said, No man, Lord. And Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more.”

The key statement is: “Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more.” This shows that Jesus forgives sins, but He also commands us not to continue in them.
