Having the Mind of Christ (Pt. 1)

“Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 2:5 (KJV)

If we take a careful look at many of us today, we will see that many are merely children of God in words alone. Many attend church services regularly but do not truly have the mind of Christ. I tell you this morning, by the wisdom of God, that many of us will pay dangerous prices if we do not cultivate the mind of Christ.

Yes! Carrying the power of God is a good thing, but, sir, I tell you this morning that having the mind of Christ is a crucial component when it comes to greatness and excelling in this kingdom.

It is not only the power in Jesus that you need—you also need the mind of Jesus. Without the same mind that was in Christ, the power that was upon Him will be ineffective in your life.

Rev. Dr. Olubusayo Folarin, our General Superintendent, carries both the power and the authority of Christ, and many of us can testify to this because we are living witnesses. But you see, sir, DCA GLOBAL is where it is today and continues to experience vast growth because the G.S. possesses the mind of Christ.

If you reflect on where DCA GLOBAL was five years ago compared to where it is now, you will recognize that it takes a man with both the power and the mind of Christ to bring about such a transformation.

The same applies to many of you today. You have prayed so much that you now carry the power of God, yet the mind of Christ is not evident in your life, business, career, relationships, and decision-making.

This is why you can pray for a brother who has the mind of Christ, and by the power of God vested in you, his life begins to manifest divine change. Yet, with that same power, you struggle to pray anything through for yourself.

Take a moment to examine yourself this morning and be honest:

Do you truly have the mind of Christ?

Good morning, and happy Friday!
