“Honour thy father and thy mother: that thy days may be long upon the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee.” Exodus 20:12 KJV

I will start by saying this: the first thing that activates the ministry and gift of men is HONOUR. It is the key that opens up the treasure locked within men.

I know you can pray, I know you can teach the Word, I know you are good at evangelizing and doing all sorts of things as a believer, but you will not be recognized if you do not learn to honour men.

I can tell you that every door in the life of a man closes because of dishonour. As you read today’s devotion, you will begin to understand that some of the relationships you have lost have been a result of dishonour.

HONOUR IS A SEED.

HONOUR IS A KEY.

Everything that is not working in the life of anyone can be traced back to dishonour. This generation has been deceived into thinking that anyone who wants to leave your life should simply go.
But I come to tell you this morning: there are strategic relationships in your life right now that, by every means, you must not lose. You must honour, celebrate, and preserve those relationships. If they leave your life because of dishonour, EVERYTHING WILL GO WRONG.

Drop your pride and misinformation, and learn the act of honour.

THE VIRTUE OF HONOUR IS SCARCE, AND THAT IS WHY VERY FEW PEOPLE RISE.

Some of us, no matter what anyone does for us, would never honour or celebrate them. I tell you this morning: the downfall of such a person is only a matter of time.

I know my generation does not prioritize honour, but please, be different. Honour your pastors. Honour your parents. Honour your friends. Celebrate the people God has placed around your life.

Honour everyone! That brother sitting next to you might carry the miracle and grace you need. You cannot receive a grace that you do not honour.

Imagine a brother possessing the grace for speed that you are lacking in your life. How can you access that grace without honour?

As I said at the beginning, HONOUR IS THE KEY THAT OPENS UP THE TREASURE LOCKED WITHIN MEN.
