“Most of all, I’m writing to encourage you to pray with gratitude to God. Pray for all men with all forms of prayers and requests as you intercede with intense passion.” 1 Timothy‬ ‭2‬:‭1‬ ‭TPT‬‬

I believe in prayers. Many people are good at complaining about an issue or a person more than they pray, we are quick to condemn our fellow brothers and sisters especially in the body of Christ who are not working and walking towards God’s righteousness than we lift them up to God in prayers.  I believe prayer works. 

Intercession is so powerful that it has saved many souls who have in turn saved multiple souls from perishing. Intercession is an action of carrying each other’s burdens in the place of prayer. This means you negotiating the matter of someone with God in the place of prayer. 

Intercession serves as covering over others. Yes, things are going wrong in the lives of some believers, character wise, maritally, financially, academically, spiritually, ministerially and so on, rather than just shaking your head in shame, gisting about their matters, intensify more in prayers for such.

Apostle Paul encourages us all, to intercede for all men, again, all men. That your boss threatening and oppressing you, pray for him. Your wife that is not making your home enjoyable, pray for her. Your unbelieving parents, pray for them until change happens.

You hear people say the economy is getting tougher, pray for your nation, so much can happen in our country if men and women of prayer rises altogether to take the burden upon themselves to intercede for this nation.

“And pray for every political leader and representative, so that we would be able to live tranquil, undisturbed lives, as we worship the awe-inspiring God with pure hearts. It is pleasing to our Savior-God to pray for them. 1 Timothy‬ ‭2‬:‭2‬-‭3‬ ‭TPT‬‬

Do you see now that as children of God, it would be accounted a sin to us to curse our political leaders. Yes, the Bible says so, not me. The Bible does not say give us the criteria for the one we must pray for, but all. Are they all good? No, but pray for them. Do they all deserve it? Maybe no, but God will be pleased with you when you pray for them.

Prayer.

Father, release upon me the grace and strength for Intercession in Jesus name.
