JEHOVAH EZER — THE LORD MY HELP

(HOW TO ACCESS HIS HELP)

Good morning, God’s people.
I pray the Lord Himself will help us today, in Jesus’ mighty name.

Child of God, we have seen the reality of the believer in Jehovah Ezer, but having a Helper is one thing. Accessing that Helper and His help is another.

There are four keys to accessing Jehovah Ezer. I will show you two keys today and the remaining two on Tuesday.

1. THE KEY OF DEPENDENCE — TOTAL DEPENDENCE

2 CHRONICLES 20:1–17

Child of God, the Bible tells us here that three nations came against Jehoshaphat: the Moabites, Ammonites, and people of Mount Seir.

There were too many, and no strategy could work.

Let me show you what Jehoshaphat proceeded to do in 2 Chronicles 20:12 KJV:

“O Lord God of our fathers, art not thou God in heaven? and rulest not thou over all the kingdoms of the heathen? and in thine hand is there not power and might, so that none is able to withstand thee? Neither know we what to do: but OUR EYES ARE UPON THEE.

Did you see that?

He did not say, “We have soldiers.”

He did not say, “Let’s call these people.”

He said, “NEITHER KNOW WE WHAT TO DO: BUT OUR EYES ARE UPON THEE.”

That is DEPENDENCE. TOTAL DEPENDENCE.

And what happened?

2 Chronicles 20:22 KJV:

“And when they began to sing and to praise, the Lord set ambushments against the enemy… and they were smitten.”

Jehovah Ezer fought for him because he depended on Him.

Child of God, some people have shown God that it is either You or nothing. You are not an option. You are my only way out. This is exactly how to access Jehovah Ezer.

You do not need to try every other option, allow them to fail, and then call on Him.

Let me tell you this: The people you are depending on are also depending on God. Why not totally depend on Him?

2. THE KEY OF PRAYER

HEBREWS 4:16

“Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.”

Child of God, PRAYER IS ACCESSING.

There is grace for help sitting at the throne right now, but grace is not automatic. You must come to collect it.

Jehovah Ezer has already made help available. Prayer is how you withdraw it. Are you with me?

Let me show you 1 SAMUEL 1:9–20.

When you read through this passage of the Bible, you will find out that Hannah was barren and mocked by Peninnah. Nobody could help her. Her husband could not help her. But she knew where help was.

1 Samuel 1:10–11 KJV

“And she was in bitterness of soul, and prayed unto the Lord, and wept sore.
And she vowed a vow, and said, O Lord of hosts, if thou wilt indeed look on the affliction of thine handmaid… then I will give him unto the Lord.”

Did you see it?

She didn’t go and fight Peninnah.
She didn’t beg Elkanah anymore.
She went BOLDLY to the throne to obtain help, just as Hebrews 4:16 told us.

She cried out to God and made a vow to God.

That is PRAYER that accesses help.

Let me show you what happened in 1 Samuel 1:20:

“Wherefore it came to pass, when the time was come about after Hannah had conceived, that she bare a son, and called his name Samuel, saying, Because I have asked him of the Lord.”

Child of God, wake up. Stop expecting help outside your prayer life.

Where is your prayer altar?
Do you have a prayer life?
Have you ever even prayed before?

Whatever you are facing today, I give you this first-hand knowledge: prayer can solve it.

Sickness? Pray.
Debt? Pray.
Delay? Pray.
Closed door? Pray.

Stop complaining to people. Start praying to God.

The same God who heard Hannah is still on the throne.

Cry out to Him today; He will send help to you.

Good morning once again, THE BELIEVER.

Happy Friday!
