Please Be Kind (Pt. 1)

“Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.” — Ephesians 4:32 (NIV)

Good morning, God’s people.

I’ve come this morning to encourage us all to be kind. Kindness is a nature of God—one that many believers today either forget, or even when they remember, find difficult to practice.

But I tell you this morning: kindness is God’s nature, and your little act of kindness today can change someone’s life forever. Please, be kind.

Let me tell you, sir—your kindness today can translate to the breakthrough of your children tomorrow. Look at what Proverbs 11:17 says:

“A kind and merciful man does good for his own soul, but he who is cruel troubles his own flesh.”

So I can boldly say this morning, backed by the Word of God:

KINDNESS IS AN INVESTMENT.

It is not good enough to pray fervently, to teach the Word powerfully, or to serve actively in your church department—and still not be kind.

Let me ask you:

• How many times have you heeded God’s instruction to give to a specific person?

• How many times have you helped, when you truly had the capacity to help?

• How many times have you checked in on that brother or sister you noticed was down?

Let me tell you something this morning: in a world full of wickedness and cruelty, people are going through more than they show. The least you can do is be kind.

Some of us have unknowingly missed our season of breakthrough because our hearts lacked mercy.

There are people today who live in regret because they once had an opportunity to help or show kindness—but they made up their minds and said, “No, I won’t help this person.”

Now, that same person they refused to be kind to has been lifted by God.

This is the reality for some of us. Yes, you’re a child of God—we know. Yes, you pray—we know. But the truth is: you are not a kind person.

Let me close with this:

Show kindness—not just because I said so, or because you now understand God rewards it.

Show kindness because it has become your new nature in Christ.

Kindness is not a transaction.

It is the nature of God.

Good morning once again.

Let today be different—please, be kind.
