An author once said, “Three things in human life are important. The first is to be kind. The second is to be kind. And the third is to be kind.”
Child of God, I know sincerely that men by nature have been wicked and unkind to you. But you are not the devil—you can change that narrative. You can be kind.
Being kind is a powerful seed; it does not die. A man’s prayer points can be answered in a moment because he was kind to someone at a time he had probably forgotten.
God is speaking to some of us this morning: we must begin to intentionally live our lives showing kindness and compassion to others.
Let me teach us something this morning that will bring us to humility and help us show kindness more often:
Sir, the life of men does not revolve around your kindness. The life of men revolves around the mercy of God. But you see, sir, make yourself available for God to use through your kindness to show mercy to others.
Please, read that again.
I am saying this this morning because pride is one of the reasons many believers do not show kindness to others. You carry a mentality that only you can help them, or that if you don’t help them, they cannot amount to anything. That is a lie of the devil, sir.
That is why I am teaching you that the life and destiny of men does not revolve around your kindness alone but around the mercy of God. So allow God to use you to show His mercy to others—by being kind.
When you are kind to others, they receive the mercy of God.
Sir, please be kind.
Kindness cannot be imparted through prayer. If it could, with how much you have prayed, why are you still unkind to others?
Kindness is not a transaction. Don’t start doing it just because of what you hope to receive in return. Do it because you have learned an attribute of God and you want to show the world that we serve a Good God.
