“I will bless the LORD at all times: His praise shall continually be in my mouth.” — Psalm 34:1 (KJV)
Good Morning, People of God!
The month of June is our Month of Praise, but for some, that reality hasn’t fully sunk in. As this month of praise gradually comes to an end, some of us have not taken time to praise God for anything at all.
Yes, I know things may not be as easy as we want them to be. I’ve even heard people say they’re angry with God and with life. But all of these feelings are the enemy’s strategy to keep you from praising God or even having a reason to.
The devil knows that praise is a weapon of war, and he will do everything in his power to keep you from activating that weapon.
The psalmist says, “I will bless the LORD at all times: His praise shall continually be in my mouth.” He understood that every moment might not feel good—but regardless, “I will praise the Lord.” This should be the declaration of every child of God.
If God were to open your eyes to the battles He is constantly fighting and winning on your behalf, you would never stop giving Him thanks. But often, we miss this because we are focused on our immediate needs and desires. So when we pray and it seems like nothing is happening, we think, What is there to praise God for?
Let me show you something: many times when we ask God for something, He must first fight the unseen battles that could destroy the answer before it even reaches us.
Have you not heard what Psalm 121:4 says?
“Behold, He that keepeth Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep.”
This means God has never stopped working. He does not sleep. He is daily fighting your battles and securing your future. He is laying the foundation so that your answers can last.
Now can you see why you must praise the Lord at all times? At all times, sir!
I believe someone is ready to give God praise this morning.
Good Morning once again, and Happy Wednesday!
