“No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.” Matthew 6:24 KJV
Child of God, we are in times where we must truly identify who we are, what we are doing, and who we are serving.
Do not let people blame Jesus for your scripted, performative walk with Him. When you genuinely know you are not serving Jesus, you are simply playing a role. Many times, when trouble comes, you’ll hear people say, “And he’s supposed to be a child of God!”
Hello sir, you know you’re not genuinely serving Jesus. Let me also give you this news flash: with the way you’re acting out a role and lying about your walk with God, even Jesus does not know you. He does not recognize you.
Let me show you a scripture:
“God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.” John 4:24 KJV
Journey with me carefully. It first says, “God is a Spirit.” So how do you think a Spirit can be deceived by mere words and insincere actions? Child of God, pretending to be a child of God when you’re not is only bringing harm to yourself — not to God.
It further says, “They that worship Him MUST worship Him in spirit and in truth.” Child of God, I did not write the Bible o! It says whoever must worship Jesus, serve Jesus, or carry out any assignment as a believer must—take note, MUST—worship in truth and in spirit, not just with words or actions.
Are you with me?
Child of God, the true proof of your walk with God is in truth and in spirit. That will naturally reflect in your words and actions. You won’t need to tell anyone, “I’m a believer”—they will know.
If our General Superintendent walks into a room today, I guarantee you everyone will know he is a man of God, even without saying a word.
Be that kind of believer.
Good Morning
Happy Friday
