Strength In Service – Prayer

“And you will be hated by all for My name’s sake. But he who endures to the end will be saved.”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭10‬:‭22‬ ‭NKJV‬‬ here

We have heard of many great men, who started well and were strongly known in their days, but the end days were nothing to take home with. Our text was Jesus himself speaking, he said at the second part of the text, “he who endures to the end will be saved”. Not he who started powerfully, or famously or gloriously but he who endures to the end, shall be saved.

A quick reminder of a man who was so great in his days, known all through the earth for his wealth, attributes and wisdom in God, King Solomon. He started so well that he even made the most beautiful house for the Ark of God to dwell, everything in this building was all made of precious and very expensive equipments.

He was known to be a man of God, but towards the end of his life, his salvation could be questioned.

“For it was so, when Solomon was old, that his wives turned his heart after other gods; and his heart was not loyal to the Lord his God, as was the heart of his father David. For Solomon went after Ashtoreth the goddess of the Sidonians, and after Milcom the abomination of the Ammonites. Solomon did evil in the sight of the Lord, and did not fully follow the Lord, as did his father David.”
‭‭I Kings‬ ‭11‬:‭4‬-‭6‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

This was the same Solomon that God would speak with him without sending prophets unlike his father. Our Pastor would say, when you see a man backsliding, check his prayer life. Solomon’s prayer life and his communion with God was slowly decreasing as his wives were increasing, yet he had no idea.

I would say he started the problems of building high places to burn incense for other gods that Isreal had which led them to captivities.

Recently, I was told that you have not done a good job until Jesus tells you well-done, which you would either get by rapture or departure- death. So until then, we keep on doing what pleases the Master in our services, but you would not know how He wants you to please him if you don’t develop an effective communication with Him- PRAYER.
Build your prayer altar if truly you want to please the Master.

PRAYER

Say; Father, I ask and receive strength in the place of prayer to serve you and please you , enduring and persevering till the end in Jesus mighty name. Amen
