Esther 4:16 GNT
“Go and get all the Jews in Susa together; hold a fast and pray for me. Don’t eat or drink anything for three days and nights. My servant women and I will be doing the same. After that, I will go to the king, even though it is against the law. If I must die for doing it, I will die.”

The Jews had a problem, they were to be wiped out by Haman. This was a serious problem

According to royal tradition at the time, Esther even though she was a queen and a supposed wife to the king could not go to the king without an invitation.

She could not go to meet the king without an invitation, the punishment was death. She knew she had a problem, she decided to take a fast.

She did not go to talk to the king’s friends.

She did not go to talk to the king’s advisers.

She did not go to talk to the king’s chiefs.

She knew it was unnecessary. All she needed to do was to fast and talk to the one who has the heart of the king in his hand.

They fasted, she went in to meet the king, The Bible records that when the king saw her, she found favour, the gold sceptre was stretched, she touched the tip and got access. Eventually her people did not die.

When you have a physical problem, go and talk to God. Leave all of the running around and discuss with God!

Your first response to life challenges should be your knees and not your contact list.

Give yourself to fasting deliberately especially in this season.

Till we arrive at the point of the full manifestation of what God has said concerning us, we will continue to share some of these things as we journey.
