“as I think of your strong faith that was passed down through your family line. It began with your grandmother Lois, who passed it on to your dear mother, Eunice. And it’s clear that you too are following in the footsteps of their godly example.” 2 Timothy‬ ‭1‬:‭5‬ ‭TPT‬‬

It is a good thing how we have the understanding of the reality of evil generational pattern or family flow. It has been back to back firing of prayer to put an end to these evil patterns in our families by the leading of the Holy Spirit through the ministry of our Pastor, as he exposes our eyes to the wicked holds the Devil have over families.

Your ancestors that have gone before you lived their lives in the way that pleased them and see what it resulted to in your family. The covenant they made with the Devil gave the Devil the licence to torment and lay ruins the generations to come.

In as much as you have been destroying or breaking down or writing off these patterns, you need to understand that you are now building up another pattern either consciously or unconsciously for your generations to come.

If you are destroying the strongholds of the Devil without building on firm foundation of Christ Jesus, you are just clearing up space for the Devil to build a stronger one. 

Your life is not just yours alone, those who are to come after you will either enjoy or suffer directly or indirectly the consequences of the way you lived. 

Timothy served God with so much faith, he was loyal and committed right from his young age to God and to Apostle Paul, his spiritual father. These good features did not just entered him suddenly, there had been a track record of his grandmother and then his mother also being faithful to God and committed in their services to God. It then became a pattern and even generic, their faith filled lives. 

You are young now, you have a clean sheet to write what your posterity will inherit from you with the way you live. How faithful and committed you are will eventually be passed on to your children and those after them. After you are long gone, will your children inherit war which you are already instigating right now with the way you are living or enjoy peace and all they would have to do is to enforce it?

The greatest inheritance you can give to your posterity is Faith in Jesus Christ,this should be your Legacy.

Prayer: Father, help me to live my life in a way that will impart my posterity with godliness  and faithfulness in you in Jesus name. Amen.
