The Economy of God’s Kingdom (Spiritual Warfare Pt. 1)

3. “For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh:

4. (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;)

5. Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ.”

2 Corinthians 10:3–5 (KJV)

One of the basic structures in the economy of God’s Kingdom is spiritual warfare, and that is why even our God is a God of war. In the economy of God’s Kingdom, spiritual warfare is a must.

Let me tell you this: the first thing you are defending is the fact that you even chose to become a believer. That alone is a battle you must win. Because I have heard believers say, “I have given my life to Christ and that’s all.”

Oga, it is dangerous to give your life to Christ without power—they will soon take your life, sir. Do you understand me?

That you gave your life to Christ is not enough defense system. You must understand spiritual warfare, and you must be ready.

How many of you have heard the GS say that we do not prepare for battle in battle? Anyone who must emerge victorious must have prepared before the day of battle.

I know you are kind, I know you have not offended anybody, I know you think that peace should be the order of the day—but my Bible tells me in Psalm 74 that the dark places of the earth are full of the habitations of cruelty.

Take note: the Bible did not just say “full of cruelty”; it said full of the habitations of cruelty. Let me break this down for you:

1. Different kinds of wicked and destructive acts are waiting for you, whether you offend them or not.

2. Demons now exist there, because wherever there is a habitation, there is a presence, sir.

Child of God, you cannot be casual as a believer. You cannot ignore spiritual warfare. If you do, you will soon become a victim—even while doing God’s work.

As much as God is Jehovah Jireh (the God who provides), He is still Jehovah Sabaoth (the Lord of hosts). Our God is ever ready.

So if God Himself can be this prepared—that as much as He is kind, if there is a need to destroy, He will—then what are you waiting for, sir?

That’s why if you look at today’s memory verse, the Apostle said:

“For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh.”

Can you see that? Even Apostle Paul is saying that you cannot triumph in the economy of God’s Kingdom without understanding this principle.

Let me round off with this: have you ever seen witches walk without their powers? No sir!

Even when they walk in the afternoon, they walk as humans, but their powers are always with them. If they shake you, they shake you with their powers. If they talk to you, they do so with their powers.

So, child of God, why are you being so casual?

Have you not heard the GS say this? He might be playing—really playing—but if anything goes wrong, he is ready because he will not go anywhere without the power of God.

Wake up, believer!
