9) “After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.
10) Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.”
— Matthew 6:9–10 (KJV)
Let me start today’s teaching with this word of knowledge:
“You are truly not doing the will of God if the Kingdom is absent in all that you do.”
You cannot claim to be doing the will of God and disregard everything or anything that has to do with God’s Kingdom.
Please follow me carefully. While Jesus was teaching His disciples, in verse 10 He said, “Thy Kingdom come.”
Now, the question is: How does the Kingdom come?
In that same verse, He answered the question, saying, “Thy will be done.”
So, the secret to actually manifesting in the economy of God’s Kingdom is this: “His will be done.”
A Kingdom-minded believer is one who completely does the will of God. Everywhere the will of God is allowed to find expression, the Kingdom must come.
I am teaching us this morning a wisdom principle that is inevitable as far as the economy of God’s Kingdom is concerned.
That’s why Jesus took time to lay this out to His disciples—because, as far as the economy of God is concerned, the only will that produces results is the will of God.
So for any believer who is actively in service yet not getting results, please ask yourself:
• Am I doing the will of God?
• Have I forcefully bent my will into His will?
I know many people ask questions like:
“If the entirety of my life is to do His will, how then do I have time to do mine? How do I succeed?”
Child of God, until you understand that the entirety of God’s will is for you and to your advantage, you will find it difficult to do His will in this Kingdom.
Let me show you a verse of the Bible:
“For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.”
— Jeremiah 29:11 (NLT)
This means the entirety of the will of God is for my good. Once I understand this, I know that my will is to do God’s will—and that way, His Kingdom begins to find expression in my life.
Pay attention to where He said, “For I know the plans I have for you, plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.”
So my question is:
• What is a good future for you outside the will of God?
• Who else can tell you that all His thoughts toward you are nothing short of good?
When we begin to understand these things, we truly start to become part of the economy of God’s Kingdom.
Sit tight—it’s going to be quite a journey.
Good morning!
