The Economy of God’s Kingdom (The Will of God Pt. 3)

“This is the [remarkable degree of] confidence which we [as believers are entitled to] have before Him: that if we ask anything according to His will—[that is, consistent with His plan and purpose]—He hears us.” 1 John 5:14 (AMP)

Child of God, the greatest skill of the believer is walking in the will of God.

From today’s memory verse, we learn that this is the confidence we have. Yes, there is a confidence, but the fulfillment of that confidence is that we ask according to His will.

The greatest skill in prayer is asking according to the will of God. But many times, believers read this scripture and forget the part about the will.

The only person who should be confident of receiving answers from God, as far as this kingdom is concerned, is the one who asks and acts according to the will of God.

No will, no confidence.

No will, no answer.

When the believer begins to understand this kingdom principle, they truly become a citizen of the economy of God’s Kingdom.

Let me show you a scripture:

“And she vowed a vow, and said, O LORD of hosts, if Thou wilt indeed look on the affliction of Thine handmaid, and remember me, and not forget Thine handmaid, but wilt give unto Thine handmaid a man child, then I will give him unto the LORD all the days of his life, and there shall no razor come upon his head.” 1 Samuel 1:11 (KJV)

This is the story of Hannah in the Bible. My Bible tells me that Hannah had gone to Shiloh time and time again, but one day she realized that the greatest skill in prayer was to ask according to His will. Hannah knew that the land needed a prophet.

Once she understood this kingdom principle, she said, “God, give me a son, and I will give You a prophet who will serve You all the days of his life.”

Immediately she aligned her request with the will of God, God answered her prayer.

Do you know why?

She structured her request within the will of God.

Child of God, the kingdom will not come over your life or anything you do until His will is done in your life.

Can you see, sir, that it is not enough to just be a believer?

It is not enough to just pray and keep praying.

There are kingdom principles in the economy of God’s Kingdom. If you do not know these principles—if you do not apply these principles—many things will not fall into place.

Like the GS will tell me, it is not enough to be good; it is not enough to be kind.

If your kindness is not aligned with the will of God, it may be wasted effort.

If your goodness is not aligned with the will of God, the kingdom is not guaranteed for you.

Don’t let anyone lie to you. Doing good is not the same as kingdom. That song is not true.

You can do good and still not be part of the kingdom.

Good morning, God’s people.

God bless you.
