The Economy of God’s Kingdom (The Will of God pt. 4)

15. “See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise,

16. Redeeming the time, because the days are evil.

17. Wherefore be ye not unwise, but understanding what the will of the Lord is.”

Ephesians 5:15–17 (KJV)

Child of God, I will round off the teaching on the will of God as it relates to the economy of God’s Kingdom today. But let me start today’s teaching by addressing our memory verse.

From today’s memory verse, Apostle Paul was speaking to the church in Ephesus. He said, “See then that ye walk circumspectly.”

What does this mean? It means to walk accurately and without doubt. He continued, “not as fools, but as wise.”

1. This tells me that one of the most accurate dimensions of walking with God is to know, understand, and do His will.

2. Walking accurately is a wisdom principle in this Kingdom. As far as the Kingdom of God is concerned, we don’t do guesswork.

The scripture goes further in verse 16. It says, “redeeming the time, because the days are evil.”

3. Apostle Paul is teaching us to make good use of our time, and that is why he asked us to walk accurately. How can a believer who doesn’t know what to do make good use of his time?

This means that as far as the economy of God’s Kingdom is concerned, time is relevant, and the only way a believer makes the best use of time is by doing the will of God.

Let me show you verse 17 for better understanding:

“Wherefore be ye not unwise, but understanding what the will of the Lord is.”

Can you see that? Everything Apostle Paul was saying is that we must understand what the will of God is. So any believer who prays fervently but acts outside the will of God is walking as a fool would walk and is not redeeming the time.

Let me round off with this scripture in Colossians 1:9–11:

9. “For this cause we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to desire that ye might be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding;

10. That ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God;

11. Strengthened with all might, according to his glorious power, unto all patience and longsuffering with joyfulness.”

Child of God, this scripture should be the reality of every believer. Apostle Paul understood the economy of God’s Kingdom as it relates to the will of God. Look at what follows in verses 10 and 11 after being filled with the knowledge of His will.

Good morning, God’s people.
