“The great [judgment] day of the Lord is near, near and coming very quickly. Listen! The [voice of the] day of the Lord! The warrior cries out bitterly [unable to fight or to flee].” Zephaniah 1:14 AMP
It is a new month and a new week. God has been faithful throughout the year, and He will crown the year for you with His goodness, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
As the end of the year approaches hastily, the Spirit of God is reminding us again to remember the day He will come. This coming is not to consume your enemies, nor is it for merriment or the distribution of blessings.
The coming of the Lord is a coming of judgment. I know you have heard time and again that Jesus is coming soon. It’s been years and decades, and it may seem that “soon” is not happening.
But when He comes, will you be able to stand with your head held high? Will His fury not consume you in anger? Will your good works outweigh the bad and speak for you?
Today, we are reminded of the coming of the Lord. To some, it means departure (death), and to others, it means rapture. Regardless of the channel, where is your destination?
We might assume it will not happen in our lifetime, but if it does, examine yourself: where will you be heading—to heaven or to hell?
“Seek the Lord [search diligently for Him and regard Him as the foremost necessity of your life], all you humble of the land who have practiced His ordinances and have kept His commandments; seek righteousness, seek humility [regard them as vital]. Perhaps you will be hidden [and pardoned and rescued] in the day of the Lord’s anger. Zephaniah 2:3 AMP
To be preserved and not destroyed by the Lord’s anger, regard Him as the ultimate priority in your life. No matter what you lose in life, do not lose your salvation, for it is the only ticket to the home of light.
If you are unsure whether you are still with the Lord, take this moment to rededicate your life to Him. Ask for His mercy and invite His Holy Spirit to come into you afresh. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
