THE PROCESS (CONT’D)
TEXT: PSALM 105:19 (KJV)
“Until the time that his word came: the word of the LORD tried him.”
Good morning, God’s people.
Last Tuesday, I showed us two things THE PROCESS does to the believer. Today, I will show us the remaining two.
3). THE PROCESS IS YOUR TIME OF GROWTH
One of the greatest mistakes we can make is to despise the season we are currently in because it does not look like the future we desire.
David was anointed, yet he went back to the sheep.
Joseph had a dream, yet he served in prison.
Moses spent years in the wilderness before God sent him back to Egypt.
Your current location does not necessarily determine your final destination. Are you getting me?
You may be in a season of preparation. You may be learning things that will become useful later. You may be developing relationships, discipline, wisdom, skills, patience, and spiritual maturity that you will need when your opportunity comes.
Child of God, do not waste your process by constantly wishing you were somewhere else.
Learn in the process.
Grow in the process.
Serve in the process.
Pray in the process.
4). THE PROCESS HAS AN APPOINTED END
Psalm 105:19 says:
“Until the time that his word came…”
That word “until” is powerful.
It means the process had a limit.
Joseph’s prison experience was not forever.
There was a day when his season changed.
There was a day when Pharaoh needed someone who could interpret his dream.
There was a day when Joseph’s gift made room for him.
There was a day when the prison door opened.
And there was a day when Joseph stepped into the position God had prepared for him.
Your process also has an “until.”
There is a time appointed by God.
So, while you are waiting, do not conclude that God has forgotten you.
The fact that you are still in the process does not mean God has abandoned the promise.
Sometimes, God is simply saying:
“Not yet. I am preparing you.”
WHAT SHOULD YOU DO IN THE PROCESS?
1. Remain faithful.
Be faithful with what is in your hands now. Joseph was faithful in Potiphar’s house and faithful in prison.
2. Keep trusting God.
Your circumstances may change, but God’s Word remains true.
3. Keep developing yourself.
Use your waiting season to grow spiritually, mentally, and practically.
4. Don’t compromise because of delay.
Never sacrifice your future because you are frustrated with your present.
5. Don’t despise small beginnings.
What looks insignificant today may be preparing you for something much greater tomorrow.
REMEMBER THIS:
The pit was part of Joseph’s process.
The prison was part of Joseph’s process.
The waiting was part of Joseph’s process.
And the palace was the result of the process.
So, if you are currently in a difficult season, do not give up, sir.
God is still the Lifter of Men.
He may not be lifting you out immediately, but He may be using the season to prepare you for the level you have been praying for.
One day, you will look back and understand why you had to go through certain things.
THE PROCESS WILL MAKE SENSE WHEN THE PURPOSE IS REVEALED.
Child of God, you must consistently make this vow to yourself:
I will not give up in my process.
I will not despise my season.
I will not compromise because of delay.
God is preparing me for my lifting.
My process will not destroy me; it will prepare me.
I am being prepared for a greater level.
And when my appointed time comes, I will step into everything God has prepared for me.
I hope you have affirmed it. Keep affirming it, Child of God.
Good morning once again, THE BELIEVER.
Happy Tuesday!
