John 9:6–7 (NKJV)

“When He had said these things, He spat on the ground and made clay with the saliva; and He anointed the eyes of the blind man with the clay. And He said to him, ‘Go, wash in the pool of Siloam’ (which is translated, Sent). So he went and washed, and came back seeing.”

There are moments when God chooses to move in ways that defy logic. In John 9, Jesus meets a man born blind—not by accident, but for a divine purpose. What follows is a miracle wrapped in mystery: Jesus spits on the ground, makes clay, anoints the man’s eyes, and tells him to go and wash in a specific pool. The man obeys—and returns with vision.

Obedience turned a strange instruction into a supernatural encounter. Jesus didn’t ask the man to understand, He simply asked him to trust and obey. And that obedience led to the opening of eyes—not just physically, but spiritually.
