THE QUESTION EVERY MAN MUST ASK

Genesis 30:29-30 AMPC
[29] Jacob answered him, You know how I have served you, and how your possessions, your cattle and sheep and goats, have fared with me.

[30] For you had little before I came, and it has increased and multiplied abundantly; and the Lord has favored you with blessings wherever I turned. But now, when shall I provide for my own house also?

Jacob asked a very fundamental question that I believe every man must ask. In fact, it is in answering this question that you will come to realisation and deliver yourself.

When I refer to man, I do not refer to men, I am speaking generally to mankind (male and female)

Jacob came from a very blessed lineage, God so blessed his grandfather, Abraham. Abraham was so blessed that God cut a covenant with him, one that extends to his generation.

The bible records that Abraham was Great (Genesis 18:8) when it got to Isaac, the bible records that Isaac was very great (Genesis 26:12- 13) but when it got to Jacob, he was no where close to greatness.

You may wonder, why? Was it that Jacob did not have the blessing? Was it that God did not show him favour?

Remember, even from the beginning, at the point when his mother was pregnant, God hated Esau but loved Jacob (Romans 9:13).

You would wonder, a man that God loves should be so protected by the jealousy of God that he would not waste.

Jacob not minding God’s love for him wasted 20 years as a servant in the house of Laban.

He was heavily blessed and heavily wasting. The only reason why God blessed Laban was because of Jacob. Laban said to Joseph, I know by DIVINATION.

If you are blessed and you do nothing about it, the blessing will go wherever you are but not for you.

Laban said to Jacob, God has blessed me (not us). Jacob was blessed but suffered because he did not appropriate the blessing to himself.

After twenty years and the review of his wages at least 10 times, he asked a question, when will I be able to provide for my house?

If what you do cannot provide for your house, trust me you are wasting your life in time there, Jacob wasted at least 20 years till his eyes opened.

This is a question that I want everyone to answer, when will I be able to provide for my house? Is it with this business? Is it with this salary? As you ask, the spirit of God will open your eyes to a way of escape.

You can be loaded, blessed, favoured and loved by God like Jacob and still suffer if you are not conscious of yourself. We will tidy this up on Thursday.

Pray in one minute that the Lord opens your eye and give you consciousness, please pray in Jesus’ name!

Till we arrive at the point of the full manifestation of what God has said concerning us, we will continue to share some of these things as we journey.

The Shift Has Come
