Matthew 8:24 KJV
[24] And, behold, there arose a great tempest in the sea, insomuch that the ship was covered with the waves: but he was asleep.

Understand that there was a disaster already happening, the sea was greatly troubled, an accident was very likely. In the face of all of this, Jesus was on that boat, sleeping.

Jesus did not sleep because he was irresponsible

He did not sleep because he did not understand the gravity of the situation.

He did not sleep because he was insensitive.

He slept because he was full of faith. The level of faith where he knew that he cannot be working while God is working. He took rest because he was confident that God is working.

Faith sometimes sleeps in chaos
Faith sometimes does nothing in adversity
Faith is sometimes silent in battle.

The people of Israel needed the walls of Jericho to fall, the wall was built with military intelligence, when God was to show up, he did not tell them to destroy the wall.

Joshua 6:3 KJV
[3] And ye shall compass the city, all ye men of war, and go round about the city once. Thus shalt thou do six days.

The technology to bring down Jericho was faith. Go round the wall, blow the trumpet. It took faith to obey that instruction.

God wanted to remind the people of Israel that it is not their works that bring them into victory, it is his work.

When the Israelites were confronted with the red sea, God did not tell them to start construction works in the river or to build a bridge over it. God by himself parted it by the rod of Moses, again, reminding them that deliverance is not by their works.

When the Israelites wanted food, without effort, God brought manna. Their responsibility was to collect daily.

God wants us to pray, fast and stand in the gap, but, God desires that we trust him In faith.

God can speak and you remain still, because you know everything he says, he has the capacity to do!

Abraham did not get by prayer what he was to get by faith, this is how it is in this kingdom.

Be still
Be calm
Trust God!

You are not a colleague of God, allow him work!

This is the bible way of victory.

Till we arrive at the point of the full manifestation of what God has said concerning us, we will continue to share some of these things as we journey.
