1 Samuel 3: 6 -7 NKJV
6. Then the Lord called yet again, “Samuel!” So Samuel arose and went to Eli, and said, “Here I am, for you called me.” He answered, “I did not call, my son; lie down again.”
- (Now Samuel did not yet know the Lord, nor was the word of the Lord yet revealed to him.)
We have had a good time talking about families, husband, wives. Today, let us talk a little about parenting.
Know this fact and understand it early, if you are a parent and your children have never encountered the voice and the leading of God, they are yet to know God and their eternal destiny will remain uncertain
You have not really raised children that will stand in God’s presence if they have had no memory of divine revelation or the voice of God. This is what keeps them beyond everything you say as their parents.
Samuel was in Eli’s house but until he heard the voice of God, the bible records that he did not know God.
Now understand that Eli was a prophet, a powerful prophet in Israel, Samuel was living with him and serving under him but did not know God until the voice of God came to him.
Family devotion is good but it is not enough. Carrying your children to church is good but it is not enough, the ultimate game changer is the voice of God that protects and keeps your children.
Abraham heard God, Isaac heard God, Jacob heard God, God started speaking to Joseph even from childhood. This is why they entered destiny
The children of Eli had a prophet as a father but failed because they were never mentored to hear God.
Sometimes wake up and ask your children, did you dream? Did God speak to you? What is God saying? This is how we developed interest to ask for the voice of God. .
As the GS would say, salvation is not in any child’s DNA!
Until they hear God and you guide them into yielding, you have not perfectly secured the destiny of your children
Till we arrive at the point of the full manifestation of what God has said concerning us, we will continue to share some of these things as we journey.
