“Where there is no [wise, intelligent] guidance, the people fall [and go off course like a ship without a helm], but in the abundance of [wise and godly] counselors there is victory.” Proverbs 11:14 AMP

We have been studying the wisdom of God for a while now, and we will conclude that study today as we focus on The Wisdom of God (Direction).

I will start today’s teaching with a proverb that says, “A man who knows where he is going will know when he gets there.” The problem today is that many believers do not have a clear idea of where they are headed in life and destiny. There is no plan and no direction.

Let me tell us this morning, sirs and mas, that direction is far more important than speed, and direction determines destination.

The fact that you are where you are today, even though you love God, is proof that the wisdom of God for direction is not fully at work in your life. This is why help rarely comes to people who lack direction.

As we prepare for 2025, we must seek the wisdom of God for direction. Let me say this to us all this morning: having men of God to whom we can go for counsel is also part of the wisdom of God for direction. Unfortunately, this is something many of us did not prioritize in 2024.

I know many people may say, “I know what I am doing; there’s no problem in my life. I’ve made more progress than I did in 2023.” But sir, is this where God has destined you to be?

My Bible tells me that “There is a way that seems right to a man, but its end is the way of destruction” (Proverbs 14:12). This means that simply having a direction does not make it the right direction. This is why you need the wisdom of God to discern the right path.

Let me also say this: the fact that a direction is popular or widely followed does not mean it is your direction. It might not be a wrong direction, but it may not be God’s specific direction for you in destiny.

The Lord is our mighty help, in Jesus’ name.

Let us engage the wisdom of God for direction in 2025 so that we can be exactly where God has destined for us.
