“I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my loving eye on you.” — Psalm 32:8 (NIV)
We started a series last week on the wisdom of God, and today we continue by looking at QUALITY CHOICES.
Making any choice in your life without the wisdom of God is a recipe for disaster.
One thing that is often absent in the lives of many believers today is the wisdom of God in their ability to make choices. This lack of wisdom is why many believers remain stagnant without significant growth.
The fact that a particular choice worked for others does not mean it is the right choice for you. Blindly copying other people’s choices, regardless of who they are, can lead to your own downfall. You must have divine wisdom to make choices, no matter how big or small, easy or difficult.
So, I tell you this morning that the power to always make quality choices lies in the wisdom of God. Without God’s wisdom, it is impossible to make truly wise decisions. Many of us can now acknowledge that some of the choices we’ve made were without this wisdom.
For those privileged to work with great men of God, you may be amazed by their ability to make sound decisions, even when they seem harsh or illogical at first. Yet, the results are often remarkable. It is not only the anointing they carry; it is also the presence of God’s wisdom.
Reflecting on your life this morning, you may recognize times when you lacked God’s wisdom in your decisions.
This is why some believers today say they want someone who can pray, yet behaves like a worldly musician, or someone who can sing for God, but lives a dishonest life. How can we desire these things as believers and still claim to have the wisdom of God?
As I mentioned in the last teaching: “YOU CANNOT FAKE THE PRESENCE OF THE WISDOM OF GOD.”
You don’t need to declare it—if you have it, it will show, and if you don’t, that too will be evident.
Good Morning.
