“There is a little boy here, who has [with him] five barley loaves and two small fish; but what are they among so many people?” John 6:9 (AMPC)
As you walk with the Lord, you will realize that the Lord provides as you go and not before you go.
Jesus had been teaching for days, and He knew that the people needed to eat so they would not faint on their way home. Feeding became a problem because they had about 5,000 men. Notice: they did not have a crowd of 5,000 people, but 5,000 men. In those days, women and children were not counted, so the actual crowd was many thousands more when you include those excluded from the counting.
What the followers of Jesus did not know was that there was already a lunch box waiting for them. The purpose of that food was not for the young boy, but for the service of God.
God took the box from the boy, and as Jesus gave thanks, the bread kept multiplying.
God has a lunch box for you!
You may feel broke, abandoned, and rejected—but there is a lunch box. Some of you have already seen those lunch boxes, but you still believe they are insufficient. Today, God is multiplying them.
God has kept an “insignificant” lunch box for you. You can only feed thousands if you embrace it, accept it, and give thanks for it. God will not multiply the lunch box you complain about. Receive it with thanksgiving.
There are people who always complain: “Nothing is working for me.” This is why nothing works for them.
You give some people business ideas, and they give you a hundred reasons why it cannot work. This is why they cannot do much with their lives.
The bread and fish did not multiply until they were handed over to God.
Very intelligent people triumph because they know how to receive gifts from God that others think are useless, and then hand those gifts back to God. It will shock you how God can announce someone through very simple things.
There are many who sang without a studio, and that alone took them around the world—just because they knew how to embrace the gift of God.
Your lunch box can be a skill, a gift, an ability, or a grace. You will discover it along the way, but refuse the temptation to belittle it or look down on it.
God often uses the insignificant to lift the insignificant, so that they understand it is truly God who lifts a man, not the “significant” things.
Search for your lunch box. Give thanks for it. Hand it to God. This is how we become victors in life!
Until we arrive at the point of the full manifestation of what God has said concerning us, we will continue to share these things as we journey.
