Train up in the Way of the Lord.

“For I have known him, in order that he may command his children and his household after him, that they keep the way of the Lord, to do righteousness and justice, that the Lord may bring to Abraham what He has spoken to him.””
‭‭Genesis‬ ‭18‬:‭19‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

There is a saying that you can not give that which you do not have. God was testifying about Abraham, He said, “I know him”. The truth is God knows us all, you might be able to disguise and live a double faced life, deceiving people and even your spouse, but God knows the real you.

A songwriter once said “you do not have to prove your salvation to God, cause at the end of the day He already knows Your heart. And you do not have to prove it to nobody else, but you do have to prove it to yourself. See the Bible says confirm your calling and election, the Bible says make your salvation sure, cause if you know it, you will show it”.

I would concentrate on ‘you’ that want to train up. For you to train or disciple others, you must first of all know the way itself. Not just know, but you must have walked in it rightly. Training up is not just for parents, not everyone will have children till they rest in the Lord. You train up as many that are under your tutelage.

Jesus trained his disciples in the right way, the scriptures recorded that he did some things just so that his disciples and the people with Him might see and know, not because he really needed to do it. (John 11:41-42).

A wise man once said, “the pain of discipline is better than the pain of regret”.
You are in charge of your own life, disciplining yourself in training yourself up in the Lord’s way is actually your choice. It is no one’s fault that you got on the wrong path.

“Study and do your best to present yourself to God approved, a workman [tested by trial] who has no reason to be ashamed, accurately handling and skillfully teaching the word of truth.”
‭‭2 Timothy‬ ‭2‬:‭15‬ ‭AMP‬‬

Before God could say of Abraham, ‘I know him’, he had proven himself approved to God, tested by trial and now trusted by God. We all need to show ourselves approved to God then, God can commit to our hands the lives of others.

Can God trust you enough to commit to you destinies that are yet to manifest?

PRAYER

Say; Father, I ask and receive the grace to go through the test by trial and come out victorious in Jesus name. Help me Holy Spirit to instruct the destinies you have place in my hands to keep the way of the Lord in Jesus matchless name.
