7). “Blessed [with spiritual security] is the man who believes and trusts in and relies on the Lord, and whose hope and confident expectation is the Lord.
8). For he will be [nourished] like a tree planted by the waters, that spreads out its roots by the river, and will not fear the heat when it comes. But its leaves will be green and moist, and it will not be anxious and concerned in a year of drought, nor stop bearing fruit.” — Jeremiah 17:7-8 AMP
I started a teaching on trusting the Lord last week, and I will be rounding off that teaching today. Let me say this to you this morning: the day you decide to trust God completely, you must prepare your mind, because different kinds of knowledge and opinions will come to you, trying to convince you why you shouldn’t wait on the Lord and trust Him. But you must remain steadfast.
The steering of destiny is too complicated for anyone to handle without trusting God completely for His help. The moment a man decides to take control of his own destiny, it is only a matter of time before a bigger hand (the devil) begins to drive his life into problems and all sorts of troubles.
So, dearly beloved, trust the Lord. Allow Him to take over the direction of your destiny. I am speaking to some of us sincerely by the mercies of God this morning. No matter how much you pray, fast, and do all you can as a child of God, if you have not learned to fully submit to His leadership and trust Him, you are still missing something crucial.
There is no amount of knowledge that you have that will make your destiny unfold according to your own plans. And I say this clearly—NO AMOUNT OF KNOWLEDGE. It takes fully trusting the Lord to bring destiny into fulfillment.
As I mentioned in my last teaching, there are things God will instruct you to do that may feel like resetting your entire life. It may seem as if all your hard work is about to go to waste. Even you may not fully understand your own life at that moment. But one thing will be certain—you will have an unshakable confidence that you cannot fail, that your life cannot be wasted, because you have handed it over to Yahweh.
Until we reach that point of fully trusting the Lord—without questions and without doubts—there are many things that will never happen in our lives.
Good morning, everyone!
Trust the Lord with all your heart.
And yes—Happy Friday!
