What Do You Know?

“Jesus knowing that the Father had given all things into his hands, and that he was come from God, and went to God;” John 13:3 KJV

I was privileged to hear the story of a man of God who was headed to a state in Nigeria by flight. Suddenly, there was great turbulence in the air and the pilots told the passengers to begin to call on their God or whatever power they believed in. But this man of God was sleeping, and an elderly woman woke him up, saying:

“Young man, you still have a life ahead of you, unlike me who has lived my life well.”

But this man of God responded, “Nothing will happen, ma.”

She asked him, “How are you so sure?”

He said, “Because I KNOW. I know I cannot die. I know I will get to my destination safely.”

Child of God, what exactly do you know?

Who exactly do you know?

Today’s memory verse makes us understand that:

• Jesus knew He had come from God.

• Jesus knew that the Father had given all things into His hands.

• Jesus knew He was going back to God.

Jesus knew all these things. He knew that His hour had come.

There was nothing anyone could do to Jesus that would take away what He knew.

You could take away all that belonged to Him, but it wouldn’t change what He knew.

You could beat Him until He had no strength left, but it wouldn’t change what Jesus knew.

How many of us can stand this morning—whether in the face of trial or tribulation—and declare: “No matter what happens, no matter what is taken from me, there is something you can never take away: I KNOW.

Child of God, there is a knowledge that comes from the Lord. There is a knowledge that comes from above. And when you are rooted in that knowledge, you may see storms, you may face trials, but because you know, you will come out triumphant.

Child of God, you are drowning in that problem today because of the divine knowledge that you lack.

I challenge you again this morning:

What do you know?

Good morning, God’s people!
