What is God Saying? (Pt. 2)

12) “And He said, ‘Do not lay your hand on the lad, or do anything to him; for now I know that you fear God, since you have not withheld your son, your only son, from Me.’

13) Then Abraham lifted his eyes and looked, and there behind him was a ram caught in a thicket by its horns. So Abraham went and took the ram, and offered it up for a burnt offering instead of his son.”

—Genesis 22:12-13 (NKJV)

Good morning, child of God.

I will continue this teaching with this word of knowledge: “Validate God’s instruction to you.”

Yes, child of God, I know you are sure that God spoke to you—but please, be equally sure that God is still speaking.

Many believers today have the mentality that “God said it, and that settles it.” While that may sound spiritual, it can actually become a trap. You begin to see believers who, even when their pastor, leader, or mentor is speaking to them, simply won’t listen. They hold on to the belief that since “God spoke to me,” nothing else matters—no one else matters. They believe God cannot say anything different again.

That is a lie of the devil. Please, kill that mentality.

Child of God, imagine if Abraham had closed his heart and mind. Imagine he said, “No matter what I hear again, I will only do what God told me before.” Then, when the angel of the Lord spoke to him in verse 11, he would not have listened.

If Abraham had refused to listen, he would have killed his son. And that was not God’s present instruction to him.

Let this sink in: The problem is not that God isn’t speaking—the problem is you. You are refusing to listen to what God is saying now.

It is not spirituality or righteousness to cling to what God has said while ignoring what He is currently saying.

You might be asking, “How can this be? I heard God before—but now it’s the General Superintendent asking me to do something different.”

Let me tell you clearly:

God speaks by Himself—and God speaks through His servants.

This is heavy, but necessary. There is someone reading this who is stuck in their current state, not moving forward, because they’re holding onto what they said God told them. We are not here to argue with you, sir. But the real question is:

What is God saying? (Present tense.)

I will round this off by saying:

Child of God, please do not remain where God has left.

That God was there doesn’t mean He is still there.

Good morning once again.
