PART 1 — HE CHANGES THE MAN

“And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment. John 16:8 KJV

Good morning, God’s people.

Child of God, one of the greatest evidences that the Holy Spirit is at work in a man is change.

The Holy Spirit does not come into a person’s life merely to make them speak in tongues, fall under the power, or demonstrate spiritual gifts. He comes to transform the man from the inside out.

When the Holy Spirit comes, things begin to change.

1. CHARACTER CHANGES

The first place the Holy Spirit begins His work is your character.

The Bible says:

“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance.” Galatians 5:22–23 KJV

The Holy Spirit produces a new kind of character in us.

A person who was once easily angered begins to develop self-control. Someone who was full of bitterness begins to forgive. Someone who was proud begins to walk in humility.

The Holy Spirit does not only change what you do; He changes who you are.

2. SPIRITUAL GIFTINGS ARE ACTIVATED

When the Holy Spirit comes, He also brings spiritual enablement.

“But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal.” 1 Corinthians 12:7 KJV

There are gifts that God places within a man that may remain dormant until the Holy Spirit activates and empowers him.

The Holy Spirit gives wisdom, knowledge, faith, healing, prophecy, discernment and other spiritual gifts for the advancement of God’s Kingdom.

He doesn’t just make you spiritual; He makes you useful.

3. HE ELEVATES A MAN

The Holy Spirit can take a man from obscurity into prominence.

Consider Joseph. He was a prisoner, but when the wisdom of God was needed, he was brought before Pharaoh.

“And Pharaoh said unto Joseph, Forasmuch as God hath shewed thee all this, there is none so discreet and wise as thou art.” Genesis 41:39 KJV

In one moment, Joseph moved from the prison to the palace.

Child of God, when the Spirit of God is upon a man, his capacity can become greater than his circumstances.

4. INTELLECTUAL ELEVATION

The Holy Spirit also gives understanding.

“For the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.” 1 Corinthians 2:10 KJV

There are things you cannot understand merely by human intelligence. The Holy Spirit gives illumination, insight and divine understanding.

This is why you must never separate spirituality from learning.

A Spirit-filled person should not be afraid of intellectual growth.

The Holy Spirit can sharpen your thinking, inspire ideas, give you strategies and help you see what others cannot see.

5. FINANCIAL ELEVATION

God is interested in every area of our lives, including our finances.

“But thou shalt remember the LORD thy God: for it is he that giveth thee power to get wealth.” Deuteronomy 8:18 KJV

The Holy Spirit can give you ideas, wisdom, creativity, discipline and strategies that can change your financial capacity.

However, financial elevation is not merely about having more money. It is about having the capacity to manage resources for God’s purpose.

God doesn’t bless you merely to consume; He blesses you so that you can become a blessing.

PRAYER

Father, let the presence of Your Holy Spirit produce genuine transformation in my life. Change my character, activate my spiritual gifts, increase my capacity, sharpen my understanding and cause me to become everything You have designed me to be, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
