“Beloved friend, I pray that you are prospering in every way and that you continually enjoy good health, just as your soul is prospering.” — 3 John 1:2 (TPT)
Quite a number of believers can recite our opening text by heart, and it happens to be one of my favourite passages of Scripture as well.
We often associate the prosperity mentioned here with money, and that’s not entirely wrong. However, it’s also not entirely correct. I chose this particular translation because it provides greater clarity on what was originally intended.
You need to open your mind to the possibility that you can live a robust and wholesome life while fulfilling your God-given mandate here on earth. The devil has deceived many believers into thinking there must always be a “but” in their lives—that complete victory is impossible.
This is a big, fat lie from the pit of hell. You can live a victorious life on every side if you contend for it. The way the Kingdom of God operates is this: you must speak before you see.
But before you speak, you must first conceive in your heart and mind what you desire to see. Once you have conceived it, you speak it, and then you begin to see it manifested.
As you begin your activities this week, I encourage you to meditate deeply on our opening text. Open yourself to the possibility that you can prosper in every area of your life. God never intended for you to live a half-victorious life.
DECLARE:
God never intended for me to fail. I choose to prosper in every way. I enjoy sound health, even as my soul prospers. In Jesus’ mighty name, Amen.
