“Beloved friend, I pray that you are prospering in every way and that you continually enjoy good health, just as your soul is prospering.” — 3 John 1:2 (TPT)

In the first part of this teaching, I said that believers need to open themselves to the possibility of living a robust life while fulfilling their God-given mandate on earth.

Today, we will briefly look at the life of the father of faith, Abraham.

“Then Abraham breathed his last and died at a good old age, an old man who was satisfied [with life]; and he was gathered to his people [who had preceded him in death]. [Gen. 15:15; Heb. 11:13–16]” — Genesis 25:8 (AMP)

Abraham lived 175 years on earth. You can say the man lived a very long life, but I am not going to focus on the length of his life. Rather, I want to focus on the part where the Bible records that he died an old man who was satisfied with his life.

You will see that this was a man who lived a full life, walking in all that God had desired for him. You have probably heard that, on the deathbeds of some people, they recount their regrets and wish they had lived better lives.

I am not saying that a robust and wholesome life will be without troubles or storms. In the preceding chapters before Genesis 25, you will discover that Abraham did not have an easy or rosy life. He had his own hurdles and battles to face.

None of these battles stopped him from living to a good old age and being satisfied. Another way to express this is that he was content with his life.

“I will satisfy you with a full life and with all that I do for you. For you will enjoy the fullness of my salvation!” — Psalm 91:16 (TPT)

The promise above is for those who dwell in the secret place of the Most High. I am telling you by the Spirit of God that you can live a full and fulfilled life in Christ. It is possible. If you believe and embrace it for yourself, nothing will stop you.

By the Spirit of God, I declare that I shall live a fulfilled life in Christ Jesus, satisfied and content with all the good things of life, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
