“Honour thy father and thy mother: that thy days may be long upon the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee.” Exodus 20:12 KJV

I pray that the Lord opens our eyes and heightens our understanding today as we continue on this journey. May the Lord bless us, in Jesus’ name.

Let me begin today’s teaching with this statement:

“Results speak louder than words, and excellent results cannot be argued with. They silence all doubts and doubters.”

Results can be activated in the life of any man, regardless of background. The first principle that activates results is:

1) HONOUR.

One major reason many people’s efforts amount to little or nothing is a lack of honour for men. We often forget the scripture that says, “The heaven, even the heavens, are the Lord’s; but the earth hath He given to the children of men.”

This tells me, sir, that as far as your results are concerned—no matter how much you desire excellence—you cannot ignore the role of men.

Perhaps this is the missing piece in some of our lives, and why we haven’t seen the level of results we should have by now.

After today, sir, go back and honour men.

“The proof of honour is favour, and the proof of favour is accurate and excellent results.”

How can I say I desire excellence, yet I insult, criticize, or belittle the very results I claim to admire?

How do you attract graces and results that you dishonour?

By what measure can the results you despise become a part of your life?

Everything we say—whether in our hearts or out loud—against those who have achieved excellence, reveals whether or not we truly desire such results ourselves.

Every negative word spoken against those with proven results, even in private, programs failure into our lives. Remember this: the laws of the Spirit do not sleep.

This morning, I want you to see clearly how many have unknowingly programmed failure into their lives. And why, no matter their hard work, they don’t attain excellence—because they have violated the law of honour.

Let me conclude with today’s scripture—Exodus 20:12. It clearly shows that one of the most undeniable and powerful forces that produces excellent and lasting results is HONOUR.
