Why You Should Pray for Nigeria

“So I sought for a man among them who would make a wall, and stand in the gap before Me on behalf of the land, that I should not destroy it; but I found no one.”Ezekiel 22:30 (NKJV)

Child of God, I know this for sure: it will be well with Nigeria again. Things will get better, the killings will stop, the hand of God will be mighty upon this nation once more, and peace will be restored.

But here’s the question: Are we even standing in the gap for our nation?

If you do not lift up your voice in righteousness—if you do not pray and intercede for this nation—sir, as much as we may not want to hear this, things might get even worse.

Child of God, the best thing some of us have done for Nigeria is complain. Complain, and then complain some more.

Let’s walk through today’s scripture: it says “I sought for a man who would make a wall and stand in the gap.”

Not a man who would complain and do nothing.

You might think that prayers cannot solve the problems of Nigeria—but I tell you this morning: prayers can, and prayers will. This is one of the best things you can do for your nation.

Don’t wait until your family members are attacked, until your friend or someone you know is killed, before you get angry in the place of prayer.

Whether we like it or not, Nigeria is our country, and we must pray for Nigeria.

Let me show you this picture and wrap up with it:

The devil can go as far as bringing unrest and chaos to Nigeria—just to stop you from achieving your God-given destiny.

You may think your future is bright, and your destiny is great, so this doesn’t concern you?

Then you don’t understand how far the devil is willing to go to destroy your destiny.

He can even use your own nation as the tool to destroy it.

This is why we must not remain silent.

Do I have people ready to pray for their nation now?

Good Morning.

Happy Friday!
