“If someone says, “I love God,” and hates his brother, he is a liar; for he who does not love his brother whom he has seen, how can he love God whom he has not seen? And this commandment we have from Him: that he who loves God must love his brother also. I John 4:20-21 NKJV
Intercession is an action of carrying one another’s burden in the place of prayer. If you love, you will pray for one another.
Jesus exemplified this so much as it is recorded in the scriptures. Jesus prayed for Peter, whose faith would be tested and Jesus knowing fully well that Peter would fail, still prayed for him.
Jesus being full of love did not only die for you and I, before he was arrested and crucified, He interceded for us, yes, even before we got saved, Jesus prayed for us.
“Confess your trespasses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much.” James 5:16 NKJV
Child of God, do not get too proud to say you do not need intercessors. The confession here does not necessarily need to be what you have done wrong, it might be your challenges, issues you have tried to solve but it is not adding up, open up to people around who would stand in for you and pray with you.
If you as a believer, people can not share with you their burdens and challenges in life to get encouragement from you to get through it, you need to check your life well and work on yourself, something is wrong.
Lastly, some of you, your rising is tied to the rising of another, until your friends, brother or sister gets to a position for example where they can conveniently award you contracts that would change your life for the best, you may likely still remain a righteous poor man.
“After Job prayed for his three friends, the Lord made him a rich man again. He gave Job twice as many things as he had before.” Job 42:10 EASY
Until you start praying the people around you to greatness intensively, you might as well just be in the same position in destiny. Interceding is intentional, make it a duty to intercede for at least a person in your prayers daily.
You do not intercede because you do not love.
Prayer.
Prayer for someone now.
