Matthew 6:10 NKJV
Your kingdom come. Your will be done On earth as it is in heaven.
Some people would say, Somto you have been discussing about prayer. I know how to pray, I do not pretend in prayer, I do not see prayer as a show but fellowship, I follow all the rules but my problem is, God is not answering my prayers.
Really? Are you sure?
Some of us think that God is our errand boy so what we call answers is God doing whatever we want. You meet God and tell him, I need a car, a house and a million dollars, whether you like it or not, you must give it to me. We enjoy imposing our will on God, God does not work that way. The rejection of your will in prayer is still an answer. If you say God has not answered you, it means he has not responded. If he has responded, whether you think it is negative or positive, God has answered your prayer.
Today, we want to see the second aspect of prayer, we want to talk about answers. You will find out that God has answered your prayer but maybe you have not realised it.
Prayer is a two – way communication. Those that are well read will tell you, communication is never complete until there is feedback. Your prayer is never complete until it has been responded to. We typically refer to the response of prayer as answers.
Just a quick word of notice, As the General Superintendent, Rev Dr Olubusayo Folarin would say, Answered prayers is not when God does your will, it is when he responds to your prayer. A no is also an answer
If you want to finally be at peace with God’s type of answers, it is very simple. Do not tell God to bless your will, locate his will in prayer, it is already blessed.
There is no blessing outside the will of God. Jesus is saying, when you want to pray, pray that God’s will be done. You must be humble enough to submit yourself to the will of God especially when it is against your interest.
God will never bless you until you enter into his will. The Lord promised to bless Abraham and make him a blessing (Genesis 12:2) but that would only be possible if he left the house of his father (Genesis 12:1)
If Abraham stayed in his father’s house, he would have never entered into the blessing, he would have thought God was delaying, not knowing his destiny is in his hands.
Some of us are waiting for God, if you find out you were never in his will all along, you will realize that God is actually the one waiting for you, waiting for you to enter into his perfect will.
When you pray, pray to locate the will of God. When God gives you an answer that directs you to his will, please in humility, ask that his will be done.
If you want to be at peace when God answers, please look for his will.
This is the only guaranteed way to be victorious in prayer, every single time without a miss! A Prayer that is not in submission to the will of God makes you a dictator before God!
Till we arrive at the point of the full manifestation of what God has said concerning us, we will continue to share some of these things as we journey.
The Shift Has Come
